The Labrador Retriever is one of the most intelligent, docile, and lively dog breeds. That's why it's easily trainable for various activities such as sea rescue, rubble recovery, retrieving, drug and poison detection, guiding the visually impaired, agility, and more. It is also incredibly affectionate, well-balanced, and playful. It loves physical exercise and cannot stand loneliness. It is never aggressive by nature. Its sociability with other animals and humans is unmatched. If you want to know more, please read the article dedicated to the Labrador Retriever
The Labrador Retriever comes in three standard-recognized colors: Chocolate (liver, brown, or chocolate), Yellow (honey, cream, blond, or fox-red), and Black.
A Labrador Retriever is a medium-sized dog that grows until around 2 years of age. Females can weigh around 30 kg, while males can reach about 35 kg. On average, Labradors live for 12-14 years.
The Labrador Retriever sheds its coat approximately twice a year. Brushing it once a day will help prevent hair from spreading everywhere, but remember, it's a dog, not an ornament, so expect to have some fur on the floor!
Upon adoption, along with your puppy with a microchip and paperwork for obtaining the Pedigree, we will provide you with a folder containing the official health documentation of the parents and a health record that lists all the treatments administered by the veterinarian up to that point.
It's preferably not advised to travel by airplane or ship with the puppy, as it can be quite stressful for them. Generally, there are weight restrictions that vary from one airline to another. The pet can be transported with the owner named in the identification document. The owner is obliged to travel with the certificate of successful microchip application, the health record, the certificate of rabies vaccination, and the Pet Passport. We recommend reading the article on how to request a passport for pets.
The Pedigree is a certificate of registration in the breed's genealogical tree, listing the beauty titles obtained and exemptions from diseases. But that's not all: it attests that the puppy's breeder conducted careful selection before reproduction. In short, it is an important document that confirms the breed's purity. Therefore, it can participate in beauty championships and become a future breeding partner. However, please note that the Pedigree can never guarantee either exemption from the main breed-related diseases or the future beauty of the adopted puppy. The release of the Pedigree by ENCI usually takes several months.
